About Al Thumama
Al Thumama is a relatively new neighborhood in Doha that has quickly developed into a well-planned residential district. Known for being home to one of Qatar's five massive water reservoirs, which were completed in 2020 to boost the country’s water security, Al-Thumama is also home to the iconic Al Thumama Stadium which was one of the venues that hosted the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Designed with a modern grid layout, Al-Thumama was first conceptualized in the 1990s and has since grown rapidly. It is mainly a residential area, attracting both Qatari nationals and Arab expats. The district enjoys excellent road connectivity, with major routes like the E Ring Road, F Ring Road, and Al Matar Street providing easy access. It’s also conveniently located near Hamad International Airport, making it a desirable area for residents who value both convenience and modern living.
In terms of properties, there are both apartments and villas for rent in Thumama. Apartments range from studios to 3 bedroom units, while villas range from 3 - 6 bedrooms.
