It’s almost that time of year in Qatar again, where the breeze hits and the temperatures are perfect for the outdoors! And since you’ll probably be spending your time outdoors, here are a few things you can do to upgrade your outdoor area on a budget.
1. Lights:
Adding lights to a balcony or yard does wonders to the space! There are many different types of lights to choose from; opt for the one that matches the overall theme and style of the area and that will match the style of the furniture. The more lights the better!
2. Think green:
We’re always saying it, and we always mean it! Greenery makes any space look better in an instant, so add some plants and flowers to your balcony or backyard, and you will see the instant change that this addition will make.
3. Paint:
Does your furniture need a new look? Instead of rushing to the store, why not give them a new color? Don’t shy away from bold colors; think yellow, orange, blue…. Plus, the painting can be a fun family activity!
4. Bust out the grill:
In a few weeks, you’ll start seeing the grills make their yearly appearance in the stores, and while you might have to spend some $$, we guarantee you that you’ll find a grill within your budget. And plus, this purchase is definitely worth it!
5. Candles:
There are so many different types of candles that you can use which will easily add an element of style to our outdoor area. Lanterns, hanging or standing, in particular, are a great addition, especially when used to pave a way or outline the area.
6. The use of music:
Music makes every setting better! You can use any portable speakers outside, or if you’re up for it, move your indoor speakers to the balcony or yard. Just make sure you know what you’re doing with the wiring!
7. Accessorize:
Small items like pillows, throws or even a rug can add the comfort of indoor living outside, allowing you to spend time there comfortably and at ease.
6. Take it one step at a time:
You don’t have to do everything at the same time! Small details and changes go a long way, so take it one step at a time and introduce changes gradually. Trust us, you’ll appreciate the change!
