There is nothing like the cooler-weather months in Qatar, where we can enjoy all the outdoor activities and open-air events. Where and how can you enjoy the colder weather in Qatar? Read on!
1. Aspire Zone
One of Doha’s most popular areas year-round, its popularity only rises in the cooler months! There is so much to do here, from picnicking on the grass, running on the track or enjoying one of the many events they host, it is a great location to enjoy the weather!
2. Souq Waqif
Enjoy an authentic Qatari experience at Souq Waqif! From little shops and stalls to a diverse range of restaurants and cafes, Souq Waqif is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors and the local culture as well.
3.Parks
You might be surprised to learn that there are a number of parks in Qatar that are perfect for spending a fall afternoon in. Dahl Al Hammam Park, Al Khor Park and the Hotel Park are just a few options for you to consider, with more on the list. Each park has different offerings, and the Al Bidda Park, the latest addition to the list, now has a dog-friendly section!
4. Sealine
Dune Bashing, long stretches of sandy beaches and desert safaris are all on offer at Sealine Beach, and there is something for everyone to enjoy. Remember, the beach gets very crowded in the winter months, especially during the weekends, so keep this in mind when planning your next trip.
5. Camping
It wouldn’t be winter in Qatar without some camping! There are a number of spots that you can venture off too, Fuwairit, Dukhan and Al Khor Inland Sea are some of our favorite areas for camping.
6. The Corniche
A stroll on the corniche overlooking the Arabian Gulf is just as relaxing as it sounds. You can get in some exercise, and some snacks or beverages as well on the boardwalk.
7. Al Fresco dining
So many options for outdoor dining! You’ll have a number of spots to choose from in Katara Cultural Village, The Pearl, on the Corniche and in the many hotels in town. Enjoy a meal and a beverage and the great weather!
8. Qatar’s nature
It may come as a shock to you, but despite being a desert, Qatar has a wide range of flora and wildlife, most notably and popular are the Purple Island Mangroves. Plan a trip and get to know all that Qatar has to offer!
9. Horseback riding
Challenge your inner equestrian with a day at the stables! There are a number of stables and clubs that cater to beginners and professionals, so dust off your riding shoes and hit the stables! Many clubs also offer restaurants, a family play area and much more.
