Eight Destinations Within Five Hours from Qatar

Daydreaming of your next vacation? Looking for a quick getaway for Eid Al Adha, or even a short weekend trip? We’ve rounded up some exiting locations that are under five hours of flying time from Qatar.

1. Oman:

The capital has recently gained a lot of popularity as a weekend getaway destination, in addition of course to other areas in Oman such as the ever-popular Salalah or Jabal Akhdar, which are both beautiful locations for some R&R.

2. Jordan:

There are multiple cities and experiences in Jordan that suit just about everyone. You can visit Petra, The Dead Sea, the coastal city of Aqaba or even spend a few days exploring the capital. What’s great about a trip to Jordan is that it combines just about everything a travel could want!

3. Cyprus:

Known for its beaches and nightlife, there is a lot more to Cyprus that meets the eye! You can enjoy a rich and culture- filled trip with historic and roman sites and museums. It is also a haven for water sports lovers, offering scuba diving, windsurfing and more.

4. Greece:

There are about one hundred reasons that make us want to visit Greece! The islands, the food, the nightlife, the history and the beaches are just a few, and there is certainly something for everyone in Greece.

5. Sri Lanka:

A very budget-friendly option, Sri Lanka offers you everything from beaches to jungles, and has a myriad of activities for you to enjoy. While most tend to stay in Colombo, the capital, the rest of the country can be easily explored in a few days.

6. Maldives:

The definition of R&R! The Maldives is perfect for anyone looking to get away and escape from the busy city. And it’s easy to enter vacation mode in one of the many over-the-water resorts. Beaches, good food and great scenery; everything we’re looking for in a vacation!

7. Lebanon:

One of our favorite places to visit, Lebanon is a beautiful country, with a lot to offer! Delicious food, great shopping and a bust nightlife, there is a lot going on there. Beirut the capital is the go-to city for most, but check out other areas such as Jbeil and Triploi.

8. Turkey:

Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya, Izmir… the list of cities to visit in Turkey is endless! A very popular location that has gained a lot of traction and attention in the past couple of years. You’ll be able to enjoy history, culture, food and a great deal of shopping there!
